"I started C25K for the first time three years ago. It instilled in me a love of running. I was able to drop 90 pounds and run 14 5Ks and three half marathons. I would have never imagined myself loving to run, but the program gave me such a feeling of accomplishment that I just kept going. I'm planning the training for my fourth half and first full marathon coming up next year!"

"I completed the C25K in 2012—this program taught me how to train for a run and gave me the confidence that I needed to reach my next goal. I completed a half marathon in 2013 and am planning to go for a whole marathon soon. I never even thought I'd be able to run until I tried C25K!"

"Whew, how hasn't C25K changed me? I did the program three years ago (finished it on July 10, 2011), and haven't stopped since. In that time, I've lost over 100 pounds. I have run many 5K and 10K races, several half marathons, four marathons, and as of last Saturday, I ran an ultra marathon!"

"When I started C25K almost five years ago I thought I'd die the first time I ran for five minutes straight! Now I will be running my tenth half marathon in a week and my third marathon in September. Not only has running helped me maintain a 30-pound weight loss, but it has become something that brings me so much joy. Running is how I relax and decompress. Running keeps me sane."

"It changed my life. I began at age 59, planning on running a "one-and-done" 5K to celebrate the big birthday that was looming. Two years later, I am still running, reaching 10K twice and seven miles. I completed a book about the journey and it will be coming out in a few weeks. I am healthier than I have ever been and exercise with joy for the first time in my life. I have made countless new friends, locally, all over the country and all over the world. I will leap into official senior citizenship next fall ready to take it on. And I will still be running."

"I started making attempts at C25K last July. At that time, I couldn't even run 60 seconds. I committed to it again in March and did much better. I finished the program last week, shortly after running my first 5K and being 25 pounds lighter (and counting). My life has changed so much. I exercise now six days a week, sleep amazingly, and have no doubt I can keep losing."

"I started C25K four years ago for the second time. I've lost weight, feel fantastic, and have run nine half marathons, three marathons, and one ultra marathon."

"My ex-husband and I started C25K in July 2012. Neither one of us could make it around a quarter-mile track. We ran our first 5K together November 2012 and have been losing weight and living a healthy lifestyle ever since. I stuck to my New Year's resolution of completing 13 5Ks in 2013, finishing off the year with a 5-miler. The experience was so bonding for us that my ex-husband and I ended up re-marrying May 2013. We just celebrated our one-year anniversary by finishing our first half marathon together this past Saturday! Thank you!!"

"C25K was my very first running program I began almost two years ago. It literally moved me from the couch to monthly 5Ks and I have begun training for 10Ks now. Ran my farthest ever back in January at the Run Disney Princess 10K and I have a 10K slotted for September that i'm eager to run from start to finish."

"I started C25K three years ago when I saw a post about it on Facebook. My gym had become a struggle—I loved going, but my son hated the overcrowded daycare. I decided to suspend my membership and give C25K a try.
The gradual steps to increase time and distance worked amazingly for me. I remember dreading that first 20-minute run and was so excited when I finished it! The best part was how proud my whole family was when I ran my first 5K race later that year.
This year, I finished the 5K-to-10K program, then worked my way through a half-marathon program. I am running my first "official" 10K in three days and half-marathon in 2 weeks. One of the best parts of these training programs was when I had a 20-minute run scheduled. As I left the house, I told my husband "I'll be back soon! It's an easy day-just a short 20-minute run!" I spent my entire run reflecting on that statement. I had just referred to that previously dreaded 20-minute run as both easy and short! I've definitely come a long way! Thanks C25K!"
