This camp trains participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies. Certification includes: Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer through the American Red Cross. Attendance is mandatory for all classes! Fee includes resuscitation mask. Prerequisites will be required to enter class. They include: Participant must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class, Participant must be able to swim 300 yards continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing using the front crawl and breaststroke, surface dive to a depth of 7-10 feet, retrieve a 10 pound object, return to surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object, timed at 1 minute, 40 seconds. ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL NEED TO PASS A PRE-COURSE SWIM ON THUSDAY, JUNE 16 @ 4:00PM.
