T’ai Chi is an ancient Chinese exercise that combines relaxed, fluid movement with a calm alert mental state. It builds endurance, enhances flexibility, balance and coordination. T’ai Chi evolved from martial arts to a practice for cultivating health, energy, and concentration. Often referred to as 'moving meditation.' Beginning students will learn and practice the fundamental movements and principles of the 37 posture Yang style (Cheng Man Ch’ing) form. Opportunity to join more advanced level practice will be available following this beginning level class. $25 for 6 sessions, pay instructor at first session.
