Description
Founded in 1981, the VOICES OF EXPERIENCE is an SATB, mixed-voice choral ensemble that celebrates and shares music of all styles, rehearsing Tuesday/Thursday afternoons at 1 p.m. Now 30+ members strong, the VOICES OF EXPERIENCE is open to any Iowa City Senior Center member who is interested in making great music, rehearsing, learning, and performing. Previous musical experience or expertise is not required, but the ability to match pitch, along with an enthusiastic spirit and a great sense of humor will ensure that you will be a welcome addition to our already-wonderful and talented troupe!
Please join us on Tuesday, January 16th at 1 p.m. in the Assembly Room as we kick off our spring session, directed by Jon Ranard and accompanied by Jean Littlejohn. From Rachmaninoff to Marvin Hamlisch, and from sacred Latin literature to selections from "The Music Man", we'll be working toward our final performance, to be held on Thursday, May 23rd at 2 p.m. You won't want to miss it!Participants pay a one-time $50 fee to over the cost of music, materials, and instruction for the spring session.Activity Secondary Category
