Description
Experimental Techniques in Watercolor and Gouache
Learn a variety of experimental techniques in both watercolor and gouache, including ink techniques, mono-printing, and using sand, dyes, gauze, plastic wrap and fibers. Work in both mediums to develop a personal style and select the choice of imagery or abstraction. This class is designed for ALL levels.
Instructor Sally Elliott was a professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She has been exhibiting locally and nationally for over forty years and has earned numerous awards and honors.
Fee to register for class is $50 for city residents, $63 for nonresidents, plus materials purchased by participant to bring for use in class (approx. $50)
Some materials will be provided by the instructor. The materials each participant will need to provide themselves include: One 9X12 , 90 Lb mixed media pad of paper One 9X12, 140 lb watercolor pad of paper Three nylon watercolor brushes (flat, round and liner) Set of watercolors ( the best buy are Yarka brand) Artist Masking tape Small container of heavy Matte Gel Medium Spray bottle Water container (a plastic yogurt container Is good)
March 29 (Wednesday) will be a make-up day due to class cancellation on 2/23. This course is 6 classes in total.
