About this event

Description

We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Wednesday, November 17, 2021.

Getting back to basics and natural ingredients is not just a trend but a lifestyle. Not only should you know and care what you put into your body, but also what you put onto it. Soap making involves an exact combination of oils (coconut, palm & olive) blended with lye, producing a beautiful natural soap without unnecessary ingredients. This 2 evening course will teach you everything you need to know to make your own luxurious soap creations using the Cold Process method. Proper handling of lye and all the safety precautions are covered. While the soap making portion is a demonstration, participants will partner up and customize their bars with provided scents, botanicals and extras. The second night you will cut the soap into bars and you learn about curing, handling and packaging for gift ideas. All supplies included, each participant will take home 10 bars of soap and the skills to make soap using the Cold Process method.

Registration fee is $20, a $40 supply fee is to be paid the night of the class to the instructor.
