Enter the tasty and adventurous world of food, crafts, and books using all five senses. Now you can experience Casey's Tasty Books program at home with our new Tasty Books Kit. Each month we will be releasing a new kit that includes an exciting book, a fun related craft activity, a themed snack recipe, and cooking accessory. Now you can have Tasty Books anytime.
This month's Tasty Book Kit will consist of the book "Mango, Abuela, and Me" by Meg Medina, a themed craft, empanada recipe, and cooking accessory.
"Mango, Abuela, and Me" is a great book to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. An endearing tale that speaks loud and clear about learning new things, and how love and patience transcend language.
Purchase your kit online now and then pick it up at the Casey Farmers Market beginning on Thursday, September 17th from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Each kit contains one book and enough materials for one child. Additional add-on kits, which just include craft materials, a recipe, and a cooking accessory are also available for purchase without the book. These add-on kits are perfect for families with multiple little ones. Our Tasty Books staff will be at the Casey Farmers Market on 9/17, 10/1, 10/22, and 11/5 and at the Casey Community Center Front Desk on 12/3, and 12/10. Kits will not be mailed and must be picked up at the market or front desk only on these designated dates. When picking up your kit, please adhere to all Casey Farmers Market and City of Gaithersburg safety guidelines. These include practicing social distancing and face masks being required.
Please note: If you are purchasing kits for more than one book you may receive a scheduling conflict pop-up message. Simply click the Ignore Conflict box to proceed.
