WHAT: Summer Open Studio for Advanced Ceramics Students DESCRIPTION: This open studio is for advanced ceramics students to come in and use the Ceramics Studio for independent projects. Come and work on/finish projects you started or create something new this summer! This is for students who have taken a ceramics class at CCArts within the past year and have that instructor’s approval to work independently in the studio. As there will be no instructor for this summer open studio session, students must have the knowledge needed to work independently on their projects from start to finish. Clay is not included with the fee, but will be available to purchase from the CCArts office for $25 per bag, if needed. These open studios will happen during the same time frame as the pottery summer camps, so kiln firings of adult pieces may be sporadic until the end of summer and any open studio creations will be fired as soon as kiln space permits. Also, students need to keep in mind that since the studio is shared with a lot of summer camps, the organization and cleanliness of the ceramics studio is different during the summer than during the rest of the year. WHEN: Tuesday nights and Thursday nights from 5:30pm-8:30pm 10 weeks, 20 classes. Tuesdays will be with Charlie's Tuesday PM Class. Charlie will close the building after 9PM, Thursdays will be with Kari. 5:30-8:30. Kari will close the building.
