This class will introduce you to Yoga as taught by the Iyengar Method. This method opens up the practice of yoga for everyone. The use of props and a step by step approach teaches alignment and brings strength and flexibility. The basic postures are introduced and awareness is created in the whole body. As awareness of every part of the body is felt, energy is generated and the breath is engaged. The aim is to bring into alignment the different parts of the body to associate the breath and mind and release tension and stress.
This class will be available to participants both as in-person and virtually.
