Activity Organizer: Ms. Angkham Email: che.angkham@basisindependent.com Dates: 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month Times: 4:00 PM–5:00 PM Location: Room 336 Grades: 5–12 Cost: $75 Description: This club will be the BISV chapter of Youth4Better, whose mission is to “provide a platform for passionate, motivated middle and high school students to voice their concerns, and lead projects about various issues in our society. While leading their own campaigns, students are able to collaborate and grow alongside other members.” The club will focus on the following themes for the winter/spring: January = Community (cards for veterans, blog writing); February = Celebration of Culture (heritage revival, Lunar New Year); March = Environment (recycling, park clean-up, World Wildlife Day); April = Education (resources for immigrants, creating educational e-books for children); May = Identity (self-expression through mask-making).
