Prerequisites: Students must understand a programming language (i.e. Java, C++, etc.) and have a laptop Activity Organizer: Qing Zhang Email: email@example.com Dates: Fridays Times: 4:00 PM–5:00 PM Location: Room 245 Grades: 7–12 Cost: $50 Description: The Art of Computer Algorithms Club will teach students fundamental computer science algorithms and data structures that will be needed in both competitions and real-world applications. Also, we will organize the club to compete in team competitions. Our purpose for hosting this club is to provide an opportunity for students to learn through critical thinking when it comes to computer science. Algorithms are a great way for students to learn creative problem solving and it can provide a deeper understanding of important computer science principles that students can use in future computer science endeavors. Finally, this club will prepare students for the ACSL competition, which it will also host.
