NOVA Makers is a program in which members can use the NOVA Fab Lab to work on personal projects and be part of a Maker community. Currently, the technologies available for use are 3D printing and laser cutting/engraving. This required Safety & Orientation session includes a one-year membership and information on lab logistics, safety procedures, and available opportunities. Additionally, members must complete a Machine Certification (a separate registration) of their choice to be able to work in the lab. Costs for materials (e.g. 3D printing filament/laser cutter materials/etc.) used during Open Labs will be charged at that time and are not included in this annual membership cost. Membership is open to NOVA college students, faculty & staff, and high school students. For more details, see the NOVA Makers Member Handbook at http://fablab.novastem.us/NOVAMakersResources * We strive to make our activities affordable and accessible to as many as possible in NOVA’s service area. If you need financial assistance in enrolling for this activity, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or at (703)530-3505.
