In this project you will create a light-up bag. You will sew a parallel circuit to illuminate the inside of your bag, no more bag dumps to find things. Wait, sew a circuit? Yes, you will create a soft circuit with conductive thread, sewable LEDs, and a battery pack. Your bag will then be taken to the sewing machine where you will learn to sew a basic stitch to transfer your piece of felt into a bag. Don’t forget the finishing touches, make your bag unique with embellishments and handle customization options. This project is for students in grades 4th to 8th. A parent of 18+ chaperone is required. The cost per student is $25 and registration is open on Active for a maximum of 10 students.
