This class will focus on stimulating your parasympathetic nervous system to promote relaxation and deep healing within your body. Restorative Yoga focuses on relaxing the body in restful postures that are healthy for the spine and nervous system, and are supported by bolster pillows and other yoga props. This practice promotes rest, digestion, circulation, stress reduction, relief from mental agitation and deep healing within us. Countless studies have proven the physical and emotional benefits of embracing this tool of truly relaxing deeply. In this class you will learn about the benefits of restorative yoga poses as well as the proper set-up in each pose to allow for maximum relaxation and benefit. The practice will be accompanied by music and guidance to help you to let go and just be. Loose comfortable clothing is recommended, please bring a yoga mat.
