No Class 11/25. Students will focus on learning extemporaneous speaking, a limited prep event, which will introduce students to local, national, and worldwide issues. The objective is to expand their awareness of the world around them and prepare them to be global citizens. Students will gain knowledge on how to investigate, evaluate, and think critically about current events. In addition, students will learn and practice basic speech writing strategies. This course will teach them how to think quickly on their feet. Therefore, this is useful for students who are interested in competitive debate and/or limited prep events.
