DescriptionArt and science are often treated as two separate disciplines but when they are considered together, it is easy to see the connections and impact between the two. Both artists and scientists strive to see the world in new ways, and to communicate that vision. This presentation explores how artists have historically used science in their work. Enjoy discussing the drawings of Leonardo da Vinci (who said “Art is the queen of all sciences communicating knowledge to all the generations of the world”). Then review other artists who documented flora and fauna, birds, animals, and the sea world through their artwork. Info: Danielle Bassett, 410-313-4634 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
