Set sail on an epic theatrical journey! In this intensive two-week production camp, you won't just study Greek mythology—you will live it. From the first moment of auditions on day one to the final curtain call on day ten, you and your castmates will work together to mount a full-scale stage adaptation of The Odyssey. This is the ultimate theatrical sprint: a fast-paced, immersive experience where you will dive deep into character development, ensemble work, and storytelling to build a professional-quality show at lightning speed.  Our stage transforms into the treacherous seas of ancient Greece as we follow two parallel adventures. We trace the legendary Odysseus as he battles the one-eyed Cyclops and outwits the sorceress Circe to return from the Trojan War. Simultaneously, we follow his son, Telemachus, who sets sail to find his father while struggling to protect their home from a mob of greedy suitors.  This unique adaptation goes beyond swords and sandals. As we bring these characters to life, we will tackle timeless questions: What does it truly mean to be a hero? What makes someone a monster? And how do we find the courage to grow up and face the obstacles life places in our path? Whether you are a seasoned actor or stepping onto the stage for the first time, prepare to be challenged and inspired. The ship is leaving the harbor—are you ready to find your way home? The show will be produced through the Pacific Ridge School Summer Programs, with rehearsals running from the first day of camps (June 15) through the end of the month (performance days on June 26 & 27). Everyone involved will be called for at least THREE (3) hours per day regardless of role. When not actively running scenes, cast members will be developing character, practicing lines, learning acting techniques, working on set, costume, and prop design, or simply enjoying the show! NOTE: Rehearsal conflicts will need to be registered at least two weeks in advance.
