POT 29 - Sagger Saturday Workshop

Callanwolde Fine Arts Center • 980 Briarcliff Rd NE AtlantaGA  30306 Organized by Callanwolde Fine Arts Center
This event has ended.

About this event

In this hands-on workshop students learn to decorate and fire using aluminum saggers and combustible materials to create striking colors on the surface of their pieces. Sagger firing is low fire, and decorative only, pieces will be for decorative, non-food uses. Sculptures and decorative pottery forms are best, but any bisque fired pieces will work. There will be a thirty minute break for lunch, so bringing lunch or having it delivered is preferred to eating off site. Bring 3-5 small to midsize pieces or two large pieces to fire. All materials will be included. Experienced potters may bring additional combustibles to add to their saggers if desired. All work must be bisque fired prior to the workshop.
