DATES:October 2, 16, and 23 ( 6 hours of instruction} Learn to use a commercial pattern to sew a pair of pajama pants with slash pockets and drawstring. Class one will be used for taking measurements, tweaking fit, and cutting out your pants. Classes two and three will be for sewing. You must be competent at operating a sewing machine to take this class. Instructor will not have time for teaching basic skills like threading your machine or winding a bobbin. SUPPLY LIST - Student MUST bring ALL of the following items: 1.. Sewing scissors 2. Three yards of pre-washed and ironed woven quilting cotton, chambray, or linen/linen blend. Do NOT bring a stretch knit fabric for this class. 3. Matching thread 4. One yard 1 Inch elastic 5. Optional: Enough twill tape or shoestring for drawstring (approx 45-55 inches) IMPORTANT: Please arrive a few minutes early. Being late is disruptive because we will have to leave class to open the door for you. The building remains locked for our safety. Someone will greet you at the door five minutes before class begins. Enter through the Fellowship Hall Doors at the back of the church.
