About this event

Description

We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Thursday, February 24, 2022.

Ages: 18 - Adult. Increase the productivity of your garden by learning the best time to plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetable varieties that do well in Michigan in this virtual class. Vegetables belong to different plant families that have distinct growing cycles and seasons; you can use this to plan your garden to maximize yields by taking advantage of the optimal times for plant growth and development. Particular attention will be given to backyard and community gardening. Material for the class is based on research and the experiences of Extension Master Gardeners and the Smart Gardening program of Michigan State University Extension. There will be opportunities to ask your questions in real time and class will be recorded. Instructor: Joet Reoma, Project Grow. 1 class.

Please note, this is a virtual/online class that can be accessed from a computer, tablet, or smartphone. To fully participate, you will need access to the Internet during the class time, and a built in camera/microphone on your device or a webcam so that you can communicate with the instructor in real time.
