A good, solid goal that is sure to be reached can be created and executed in four simple steps. Grab a blank sheet of paper and a pen or pencil, and begin the first chapter of what can represent the newest part of your life. It's important that you write it out, instead of typing it on your computer. The act of doing so will create optimal communication between your physical self and your mental and emotional consciousness.
Step 1: Leave it BehindBefore you create your goal, you first need to address what you want change in your life. It's quite possible that you need to let go of some things in order to make room in your life for what you really want. In the Mind Body Fit Club, women have shared various factors of their lives that have caused limiting beliefs.
When the powerful question below was proposed to them, one woman discovered it was time to mentally and emotionally let go of an ex-husband. For years, she had thought she moved on, but realized she hadn't fully committed to her new life on a deeper, unconscious level. She had left the mental/emotional door still cracked open in hopes that he would get his life together and come back. Another woman divulged that she has spent most of her life thinking she was the 'Fat Girl', and discovered it was time to release the old beliefs and allow her to create a healthy, new woman.
The beliefs you have must be left behind as you move forward. These old beliefs are heavy weights keeping you anchored in who you don't want to be. The time is now to break the chains and experience a new found freedom. Think of this process as the inside-out approach to weight loss.
Do some soulful investigating; ask yourself, "What's not working in my life?"
Step 2: The Strength Behind Your ResolutionJust as a flower has a stem that connects its beauty to a root system beneath the surface; you must know and understand what connects you to your resolution on a deeper level. Your resolution is frivolous and will merely stay suspended, unless you understand the process to its growth. After all, saying and doing are two different things. In fact, these two variables are the very factor between those that talk about their resolutions; commit short term then fail, and those that actually complete their goal. Unleash the answers to these two questions from your imagination in an effort to discover the strength behind your resolution.
Ask yourself, "What will my life be like if I don't follow through?"
