About this event
Explore the wheel or continue to build on basic wheel throwing techniques. Fundamental skills such as centering, trimming, and proper body mechanics are taught in this session. Ready to advance upon your basic skills, this session also introduces techniques such as surface design, altering forms, and glazing techniques. Use your knowledge to create an assortment of bowls, tumblers, and mugs! Taught by Tia Santana 9:00Am - 12:00 PM, Mondays Session 1: January 18 - February 15, 2021 5 classes, 15 hrs. *Please note: - 1, 25 lb. bag of clay provided. - Students should bring their own towel. - Limited Open Studio is available to current Ceramics students and/or Instructor Approval. Schedule will be emailed after first class. - Accessing the studio requires use of stairs. - Face Mask required for all students while on the CCArts Campus. - Limited to 6 Students - Students will be working on wheels placed 6’ apart and asked to use sanitizer/wash hands before using the studio equipment. - Students are responsible for cleaning their studio equipment after each use. - Each session is an independent class and must be purchased separately. - Students must remove all personal belongings after the end of the Winter Season.
