The Snow Bomb is a fat bike race/ride set in the Mississippi River valley in Winona, Minnesota. Snow Bomb is brought to you by the Winona Area Mountain Bikers (501c3) and partners, Winona Parks & Recreation, Recreation Alliance of Winona (501c3), and Adventure Cycle & Ski.
How-to race SnowBomb 2023...
- Join the WAMB (Winona Area Mountain Bikers) club on Strava - Complete a "Zinger Hot Lap" Strava segment on Feb 11th, between 1 and 3pm. - Upload the ride to Strava. Must be uploaded by 3pm! - Wait to collect applause for your rad race time *New short course option! "2015 WAMB Snow Bomb Course" Strava segment* Brought to you by Winona Area Mountain Bikers (WAMB) in partnership with Frozen River Films.
Event details and schedule
Beginner Course:
Begin at Holzinger Lodge and follows the "low rollers." The "Low Roller" course is ridden clockwise, goes west to "stone circle", follow the the loop up to the left, continue the loop past the "horseshoe," and turn around near the "cistern trail." Approximately 3 miles per lap. Beginners 2 laps (approx 25-40min each lap).

Expert Course:
Experts will ride the full Holzinger Lap (also known as Holzinger HotLap) approx.. 10miles
"Zinger Hot Lap" Strava segment
Chilli and hang out will be inside and around Holzinger Lodge, and post race, there will be a snowshoe event following the Snow Bomb.
What to bring:
Bring your fat bike, helmet, appropriate apparel, lungs, and legs.
In the slight chance of event cancellation, there will be no returns. Treat your entry fee as a donation to the non-profit: Winona Area Mountain Bikers who, in cooperation with Winona Parks Rec, maintain all of our mountain bike trails in Winona.
