USA Triathlon's NCAA program is thriving . With 30 current programs, institutions are finding triathlon is a great additions to their varsity sport's menus. In an effort to support recruitment needs, USAT has established junior high/high school combines around the U.S. Our focus is to expose young women to the sport and help our institutions with recruitment.
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
If the athlete is under the age of 18, a parent/guardian MUST register the athlete. The parent/guardian information goes under 'YOUR INFORMATION' and then the athlete’s information is completed under 'Participant #1' information.
Event details and schedule
8:00am to 9:00am – Athlete check-in to include assignment of numbers, head shots and body marking
9:00am to 9:05am – all athletes are together in a pre-established location near the track for a short orientation. Orientation will include purpose of the combine, how we will process the information that we ascertain, introduction of those helping, schedule, and the process for the trials for each station (pool/track)
9:05am - Warm – ups to begin
9:30am Position in heats for 1600 meter run next to the Track; Each heat will contain 8 athletes
As each heat is completed, athletes by heat will be able to move to the pool together to change if needed and warm up in the water. The same athletes that ran on the track will swim together in the pool. We will grant ten minutes for each heat to warm-up in the water.
11:00am – all sessions should be complete.
11:00am to 11:30am - NCAA orientation will be conducted at this time;
11:30am to 12:00pm - Q and A session to follow orientation
