The Tarpon Springs Band Boosters is pleased to announce the First Annual chip-timed Rhythm Run 5K and Half Note 1 Mile Fun Run.
The Rhythm Run 5K and Half Note 1 Mile Fun Run takes place in beautiful Fred Howard Park. This flat, out-and-back course is appropriate for all running levels. Enjoy a pre-race stretch and post-race expo area and celebration at the Start/Finish Line by Shelter 5. It wouldn't be a Rhythm Run without the Tarpon Springs Leadership Conservatory for the Arts student musicians and Color Guard to motivate you along the race course and across the finish line for a post-race celebration.

There is a 500 person limit so be sure to register early and ensure your spot!

- 1 Mile fun run 8:15 am Start
Packet Pickup:
Packets can be picked up any of the times listed below!
- Thursday, February 15 - 6:30pm to 8pm Tarpon Springs High School (in front of the the Band room) 1411 Gulf Rd, Tarpon Springs FL 34689
- Friday, February 16 - 5pm to 6pm Fred Howard Park, Shelter #5 - 1700 Sunset Dr, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689
- Race Day 6:15 am to 7:15 am at Fred Howard Park near Shelter #5
Location and Course:
Fred Howard Park, 1700 Fred Howard Park, Tarpon Springs, FL. This out and back course starts near Shelter 5 head toward the main road, heads west out the scenic causeway, around the beach parking lot, back east across the causeway to end at the Start/Finish Line for a post-race celebration with awards. Water Stations located on the course and at the finish line.
Distances:
- 5K, ChipTimed Bib
- 1 Mile, not timed
Entry fees: Technical race shirts and goody bags are included with each race entry purchased.
- 5K $30 ($45 day of race)
- 1Mile $25 ($45 day of race)
Late Registration:
Online registration closes Thursday, February 15, Noon! You can register the day of the race beginning 6: 15 a.m. and ending 7:15 a.m.
Shirts:
Technical Race Shirts are included with the registration fee for those registered by January 20, 2024. Late registrations are not guaranteed a shirt or may receive a shirt but not desired size.
Post-race:
Enjoy delicious complimentary food from our sponsors.
Awards: FINISHER MEDALS PLUS... Top 3 male and top 3 female Overall, Top age group awards for males and females in age groups: 11 and under, 12-15, 16-20, 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Parking: Fred Howard Park entrance will be open early for participants to park inside. The park gates will close at 7 a.m for participant safety. You must be inside the gates prior to 7 a.m. if you plan on parking inside of the park.
Strollers are wecome on the course. We request strollers bgin the 5K race at the back of runner pack. Dogs are not allowed on the race course. Thank you for your understanding.

We will hold the race, light rain, or shine however severe weather might cause delay or even cancellation. Safety has to come first. As this is a fundraiser unfortunately, NO refunds will be issued.
