The Loadstone Aptitude Series is for those of you who are willing to push yourselves to your physical and mental limits and beyond. For those who accept no boundaries and have the ability to work through the pain barrier and still have the capability to make calculated decisions. You must gather all your physical endurance and mental aptitude to earn the coveted Loadstone Tier medal.
To qualify for the exclusive Loadstone Tier medal you must
- complete the 3 events within specified times which are inline with UK Special Forces. They include:
- SF BASECAMP
- POINT TO POINT
- SAS FAN DANCE
You must carry the specified load-bearing weight set for each event within the series (Excluding SF BASECAMP).
Complete each route within the cut-off times given to achieve a Loadstone Tiered medal which reflect current UKSF standards.
All Loadstone psrticipants must be 18 or over.
Criteria
Please note the timings are a guide only and may change from time to time. The criteria will be communicated on the day of each event on the morning brief.

All distances given are ‘as the crow flies’ in a direct line and may vary due to the route you take. You will without any doubt need to be ‘Hill fit’ to take on this series as these timings and load bearing weights are based on current UKSF selection criteria.
