A great class for homeschoolers, flexible schedules and generally clay-curious. Students will utilize a variety of hand-building techniques (slab, pinch, coil) to create functional and non-functional vessels and sculptures out of clay. Caregiver participation required with young children (Ages 4-6). Adult students (Ages 16+) with experience may use the studio's electric wheels. Beginners are welcome. There is a non-refundable $20 materials fee (per child) due to the instructor on the first day of class. Instructor: Caroline MacKinnon
Hazardous Materials: Hands and clothes should be washed after using clay and glazes. All glazes are non-toxic and food safe. Fettling knives and other tools with sharp edges or points such as skewers and cookie cutters are used in the class.
