Wire Sculpture: This pliable art medium is great for that child who loves to work with their hands. First, students will be taught how to sketch their ideas about how we envision our sculptures. Next, we will manipulate the wire to create 3D pieces based on these sketches. Free standing sculptures, wall art and hanging mobiles are three types of wire sculptures we will make. Students will have the opportunity to create at least three individual pieces. Watercolor Painting: We will go step-by-step together discovering the joy of watercolor painting. First, we will learn how to properly sketch our compositions, and then complete our piece using watercolors and other mixed media. Various techniques such as wet-on-wet, dry brush, color blending, salt techniques and much more will be taught and explored. Students will have the opportunity to create at least three individual pieces.
