About this event
In the 19th century, many areas close to Maine lakes changed from predominantly agricultural areas to places where the population exploded during the summer months with tourists from away. The program examines factors that brought many visitors to the lakes, and looks at some of the early inns, sporting camps, youth camps, and a large summer hotel that began during Maine’s golden age of tourism. Instructor: Linda Snow McLoon Date: Wednesday, April 15, 7 - 8 PM Cost: $12
