About this event
Everyone is capable of being a great leader and the Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is the perfect place to start. The CIT program is designed to support, encourage and guide high schoolers to take on climate change and climate justice head-on. We provide them with the tools to lead in actionable, concrete ways, empowering them to become the next generation of environmental stewards, educators, activists and enthusiasts. But this program isn’t just for teens who want to be camp counselors! CITs enjoy the same magic and fun of Coastal Camp, all while making new friends and discovering their ability to positively influence their community. Highlights Include: Challenge Hike on a route designed by the group Leadership Compass Activities Engage with local climate change and equity topics Learn best practices for working with young kids Co-leading a group of young campers for one week
