Description
This class is designed for intermediate adult players looking to improve consistency, footwork, technique, and overall skill development in a structured, high-energy environment. Taught by the USTA award-winning Santa Monica Tennis Collective, sessions feature fast-paced drills and games tailored for intermediate recreational players.Grab a friend or come on your own and meet others at a similar level!
Why This Class: Designed to build consistency and confidence while incorporating live-ball play and competitive games.
Classes begin with a warm-up and focused drills, followed by live-ball and game-based play such as liveball and 105. Players will work on refining stroke production, improving movement and positioning, and developing the ability to handle pace and sustain longer rallies.
Prerequisite Skills: Players should meet the following criteria:
- Able to hold a 10–20 ball rally with a peer
- Know the basic form of groundstrokes, volleys, and overheads
- Beginning to hit with and return balls with pace
- Starting to consider strategy and positioning during play

What to Bring: Racquet and non-marking shoes.
Online registration is required.Walk-in registration is not available.
REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refunds will be prorated. Refund/transfer requests must be emailed to the Community Classes & Camps office at community.classes@santamonica.gov. Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.
REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.
CANCELLED CLASSES: Makeups will not be offered for classes missed by the student. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.
