After School Carpentry for Kids (K-6)
Carpentry for Kids curriculum is designed to teach practical woodworking skills, with an emphasis on the safe use of hand tools. Students will have an opportunity to create fun, functional and beautiful projects, measuring, sawing, rasping, sanding, drilling, fastening, as they develop the valuable skills of problem solving, craftsmanship, fine motor skills, respect for tools, and patience. This class is for students of all levels. Returning students will be introduced to new tools, techniques and project choices.
Session 1 (6 weeks) Dates: 9/14 - 10/19 Times: 2:15 - 3:30, 3:30 - 4:45, or 4:45 - 6 Price $162/$150 enrollment $40 Materials Fee paid directly to the instructor, due on the first class meeting
Session 2 (7 weeks): Dates: 10/26 - 12/14 (NO Class 11/23) Times: 2:15 - 3:30, 3:30 - 4:45, or 4:45 - 6 Price $187/$165 enrollment $45 Materials Fee paid directly to the instructor, due on the first class meeting
