We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Thursday, August 20, 2020.
Calling all Black, Indigenous and People of Color who want to fish!Join us for an evening of fishing on the Mississippi River. Fishing poles, bait and instruction will be provided for those who would find it helpful. Experienced fisherfolk are also welcome to join!
Accessibility notes: We will be fishing along the shoreline, which includes sand on one side and large rocks on the other. If you use a wheelchair or have limited mobility, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org ASAP so we work together to make the shoreline more accessible for you. The restrooms are closed for the season, but there is a satellite toilet onsite.
Registration Notes: Pre-registration is required so we can be sure to comply with CDC guidelines re: COVID and social distancing.
Please note that if you have not yet created a profile in our online registration system, you will need to do so to register for this (or any) class/workshop/hike that we do. When creating a profile, the system asks you to select one of two gender options. We recognize that gender is on a spectrum and apologize if your gender identity is not listed as an option. You may choose the one that most aligns with your identity, or you can skip the question altogether.
To create a safe space for all, we will start our hike with introductions – including the opportunity to share your pronoun. Please contact email@example.com with any questions.
