In the past 2 years, we have learned that having a virtual race allows so many more people to support TSI from the comfort of their respective cities. Please join us for our 5th Annual ReDiscover YOUR Light VIRTUAL 5K Run+Walk. The “ReDiscover YOUR Light 5K” is our way of bringing our community together in support of young people. We aim to EDUCATE, ENGAGE, and EMPOWER youth and the community about child sexual abuse and exploitation and provide a space for families, business owners, professionals, and organizations to mobilize and highlight this issue in your communities. Our GOAL is to have participants register in all 50 states. Will you help us create a world where youth receive the care, support, and skills they need to thrive!
If you wish to participate, you can run or walk your 3 miles in ANY place that works for you. Simply select a race route of your choice and run or walk your 5K anytime starting Tuesday, November 1 through Monday, November 7. The Starr Institute will do our run+walk on Saturday, November 5 for individuals wanting to join us in South Florida.
All we ask is that you download the FREE Nike Run Club app (or any other timing platform of your choosing) on your smartphone (which you must carry while you run+walk), upload a picture of you and your finish time using#TheStarrInstituteVirtual5K #TSIwortheverymile and tag @thestarrinstitute on Facebook and @thestarrinstitute_ on Instagram.
The race shirt is included in your registration. Grab 1, 2 or 10+ friends to join you in your run or walk. See you at the finish line!!
