Students attending Outdoor Science in the gARTen will TRAVEL THE WORLD THROUGH GARDEN, ART AND FOOD during this educational, garden-based “culinary meets the arts” adventure. Our program is designed to spark interest in healthy fresh foods with interactive activities that allow students to explore their creative garden, art and culinary sides via a global lens. Students will be awakened to new tastes, learn new culinary techniques and use local seasonal produce to prepare recipes from cuisines around the world while learning how nutrition, math, science, art and history can be discovered in the garden and on their plate. During the Global gARTen to Kitchen Camp your student will student will learn to: · Set Personal Skills Goals Based on Individual Experience · Practice Daily Garden Cultivation of Vegetables, Fruits, Herbs and Flowers · Create One of a Kind Artwork Connected to Garden and Nature · Craft Farm to Table Culinary Dishes Inspired by International Cuisine · Celebrate Global Food Culture by Developing Garden, Art and Culinary Skills Students will also learn life skills they can take beyond the outdoor classroom, that will help them to make healthier choices well into the future!
