This camp is tailored to architecture enthusiasts and intermediate artists, exploring the wonders of artistic building and strengthening the foundation of drawing and painting. Delve into the work of the great masters and some of their advanced techniques. See how your architecture skills stack up through team building competitions among the boys. By the end of the week, campers will have learned about five popular architecture styles, five master artists, and five challenging techniques to employ in his own artistic career! Learn about the following artists: Fra Angelico, Peter Paul Rubens, Edgar Degas, Winslow Homer, Vincent Van Gogh Learn about the following techniques: gilding/silver leaf, pastel portrait, chalk on cloth, watercolor landscape, impasto painting Learn about the following architecture styles: Classical, Colonial, Victorian, Eclectic, Contemporary/Modernist Teacher: Mr. Peter Vitz has taught art and natural history at The Heights for 14 years. Before teaching, Mr. Vitz worked in the architecture field.
