This is an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification class that will certify the participant in Waterpark Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, Oxygen Administration, and Bloodborne Pathogen Training. The Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR-PR, and Oxygen Administration are two year certifications and the Bloodborne Pathogen certification must be renewed each year. In order to participate in this class you must pass a pre-course which consists of a 300 yard continuous swim using front crawl and/or breast stroke, tread water for two minutes using only your legs, and a timed event which includes swimming 20 yards, picking up a 10 pound brick from the bottom of 7-10 feet of water and swimming it back to the side keeping both hands on the brick. The participant MUST attend all class sessions in order to pass. The Saturday before the course starts in the pre course
