The GCU eSports program is one of the fastest growing club sports on campus. GCU eSports provides an opportunity for everyone to participate in competitive and social events. More than 60 people attended tryouts in 2017-18 for three major titles: Overwatch, Counterstrike Global Offensive and League of Legends. GCU eSports continues to expand, and with the new eSports facilities on campus set to open in the fall of 2018, the number of teams and opportunities to better players' skills and foster lifelong relationships will continue to grow. Each title competes in a respective collegiate league that is designed around each game. The fall semester offers warm-up leagues, which prepares participants for spring semester competition against teams from other colleges in the region. The GCU college eSports club team is excited about its rapid growth and looks forward to expanding the program.
