Ready to invest 60 minutes to get in shape? 50 Plus Yoga is designed especially for men and women 50 years of age and over who want to build muscle tone, gain balance and flexibility, trim their waistline and stay active.
This one-hour class will begin seated in a chair with deep breathing exercises to promote blood-oxygenation throughout the body. After the initial warm-up, participants will come to standing using the chair or not, and each muscle group in the body will be lengthened and stretched to build muscle tone. Balance postures will be used to help promote focus and concentration. A demonstration of each pose with detailed explanation will be given to each student. Instructor will offer eyes on you as well as hands-on assists if desired, to help ensure proper alignment, your safety and a more comfortable and enjoyable yoga practice. The class will conclude with a brief relaxation time and closing breath. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat and strap, towel and water.
* We start the class sitting in a chair and participants are welcome to continue using the chair for standing poses.

Punch passes are not available for online purchase. Your punch pass registration can be completed when you attend the first class. Please wear loose or stretchy clothing. Bring a yoga mat and strap. This punch pass may be used during the month of purchase and for classes during any subsequent months as well.
This class follows current county, state and CDC COVID-19 safety requirements. At this time, this activity is being held with the option of students being indoors or outdoors in compliance with current tier room capacity guidance. While taking part in this recreation program, participants and instructors must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
