Description
Urban Farming Institute Fall 2020 - Spring 2021
Learning to grow your own food right at home can best be learned in the living classroom to be found at the Community Gardens at the Discovery Farm and Gardens in the City of Oakland Park. The community gardens as well as the Discovery Farm are operated by the Urban Farming Institute in partnership with the City.

Here are the details on how to sign up for a UFI Community Garden plot.
Step 1:
Come to the Urban Farm Institute

Step 2:
Complete paperwork at the UFI Market Warehouse and Resource Center.
Step 3:
Purchase your Community Garden plot via the online portal. A new user account will need to be created and approved by staff prior to enrolling. Please review enrollment requirements below.
Enrollment Approval
Residents: Oakland Park residents must email a valid state issued photo I.D. to verify their user account. If your photo I.D. does not have a current Oakland Park address you will need to email proof of residency such as a current utility bill issued within the last two months (FPL, water or cable).**
Non-Residents: Non-residents will be required to email a valid state issued photo I.D. to verify their user account.**
**Some activities may require additional documen ts to complete enrollment.
