First Aid, CPR & AED Blended Format Certification Course: The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED program helps participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies. This course teaches participants the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person when minutes matter.
The online portion features an interactive experience where you will respond to real-world emergencies in a virtual setting. This portion of class takes approximately 4hrs and must be completed prior to attending the instructor lead certification course.
The in-person skills class takes approximately 2.5 hour. During this time students will be expected to: • Actively participate in all course activities, including assuming various roles during skill practices and assessment. • Demonstrate competency in all required skills. • Successfully complete all assessment scenarios.
Students must complete both sections of this blended course in order to be certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/and AED's.
Instructions: One week prior to your in-person skills learning class, your CPR Instructor will send you a link for the online learning portion of this course. Again the online learning portion of this course must be completed prior to attending your in-person class.
