Description: The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED blended learning course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants. The online portion features award-winning simulation learning – an interactive experience where you will respond to real-world emergencies in a virtual setting and practice the skills that will prepare you for the instructor-led classroom skill session. Allow approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the online portion. The online course must be completed prior to attending the classroom portion of blended learning. We will email you the link upon registration for this course.
In addition to completing the online course, participants must schedule classroom time with the instructor to validate that they have learned the needed skills to conduct CPR. This in person testing takes roughly 1 hour and is conducted with Covid-19 safety measures per current OHA guidelines in mind. After registering for and completing the online portion of this course, participants are responsible for emailing the instructor with the email provided upon registration. Once participants contact the instructor they will be sent a link to sign up for the in person skills test of the class. Participants will also be providing their contact information for their CPR instructor. Participants must contact their instructor to schedule a time to meet for testing. Participants should contact their instructor at least 1 week prior to the scheduled testing date. Participants must give the instructor proof via printed certificate or course completion email that they have completed the online course prior to attending the in-person skills test.
All participants seeking First Aid/CPR/ and AED certification must complete both the online course and in-person testing. Participants who are unable to do both, will not receive certification and will not be issued a refund. If students do not pass either portion of the skills test or online instruction they will not receive any form of certification and will not be issued a refund. Students who successfully complete both sections of this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.
