A chip-timed race through beautiful Central Park with hourly wave starts of less than 20 persons and maintaining CDC standards to assure a safe experience.
- 7:30 AM START for athletes aiming for 1:45
- 9:00 AM START for athletes aiming for 2.30 hours
- 11:00 AM START for any speed athletes
The course covers the entire 6.02-mile loop. Running only lanes are clearly marked requiring you to complete the loop twice and ending 1.06 miles after the starting point. Leave your valuables with the race team at the start. Central Park is the heart of Manhattan, runners from all over the world come here for an experience that locals cherish. Be prepared to experience this place for your first time or umpteenth time with the challenge of our times.
The race will include limited support on the course, water, and power gels, distributed at two points on the course (west drive and east drive) providing five opportunities for support during the race, approximately every 2.5 miles. Water will be provided in sealed plastic bottles and gels in gel packs that you will have to grab on your own in order to limit contact.
Run with your phone and headphones and use the RaceJoy app to get auditory course guidance, mile, and pace announcements, and so that your friends can watch your progress as well as send you cheers while you run.
Afterward, pick up your unique runners' jersey and finishers medal. If you are part of a running club or team your overall or age group place will contribute points towards our Winter Half Marathon Series. All club and team members also contribute one point for participation so age and overall place are not the only reason to be there.

Due to COVID restrictions, the course will have limited support, guidance, and signage. You are responsible for knowing the course. Volunteers will be located at key locations to provide water and gels as well as course guidance. We suggest that you also take advantage of the Race Joy App and run with your phone and headset. This will provide you with guidance throughout the course, mile markers, and pace announcements. Additionally, your fans will be able to view your race real time and send you cheers.
Please arrive wearing your mask and maintaining the 6 foot distance from all participants and race staff. Take additional time to arrive. The event will have minimal signage. Look for race staff wearing bright yellow Citytri gear just off of the main loop and across from the Tavern on the Green.
We suggest that you pay for parking in a parking lot. If you decide to use on-street parking we suggest that you pay at the meter, place the receipt on your dashboard, and if you need additional time pay using the NYC Parking App. This will allow you to park for twice the maximum time available at that parking space.
WHAT TO BRING
It's still cold, so bring layers, a hat, gloves, and a change of clothing, however, try to pack everything in a small bag in order to ease the burden on the limited staff managing the secure area.
Bring a RUNNING BOTTLE for yourself to increase the "touchless" experience.
Bring a PICTURE ID.
