Description
Bojutsu is a Japanese martial art specializing in the use of a five-foot staff. Students learn improved hand skills, coordination, physical conditioning and some aspects of Japanese culture. The curriculum includes forms performed alone and two-person action techniques for disarming and pinning partners. Upon registration for this program, participants agree to maintain social distance (6 feet) at all times and adhere to the current Minnesota state face covering mandate. (Face covering exceptions may apply to certain MPRB activities.) Failure to comply will result in removal from the program.
Students may bring their own staff to use, but it cannot be longer than 5 feet 3 inches. Ordinary street clothes may be worn, but sweatpants and t-shirt or martial arts pants and shirt are preferable.
