Description

Utilizes West African symbols that connect to the larger diaspora, folks will be guided through a mix media magical manifestation for and of the community to create work to be displayed. The Artist in Residence program is a collaboration between the Minneapolis Institute of Art's Art in the Park Program, Hope Community's Parks and Power Program, and MPRB, exploring creative community healing space in Minneapolis parks. Baki Baki Baki is a Black Native collage and zine artist. Working with Studio 400, Baki creates both individual zines and community pieces. As a queer and trans artist, BBB believes art to be the revolutionary act that keeps movements alive and sustainable.


This is an outdoor program. Facial coverings are required by all program leads and participants. Hand sanitizer will be available. Rain plan includes: possible rescheduling, or providing take home art-making options
