Age / Calibre: 2013 AAA, 2012 - 2007 Travel Hours On Ice: 16 Hrs These days defensemen must be mobile, quick thinkers able to move with the puck to create scoring opportunities and threatening line rushes. With this in mind we have created a program that will not only teach how to defend your own end, but will allow the student to gain confidence in skating with the puck and joining the rush. Every team needs a defenseman that can be a great offensive contributor. This program will provide all the skills needed to become a defenseman that can breakup the play then turn it up the other way. All of the essential defensive skills will also be covered. (eg. Backwards skating including acceleration & pivots, 1 on 1's, 2 on 1's, holding the blueline, breakout passes, transitional play and covering the front of the net.) This program is a must for all defensemen!
