Start your day off with a great workout. The Couch to 5k program is designed for runners at any stage. Communication about lessons will be provided remotely to maintain social distancing. The running is on your own or with a partner, as along as you follow the CDC's proper guidance about social distancing.
Over the course of the 9 weeks, the training program begins very basic with run/walk intervals. It slowly and safely builds in longer running intervals, so that by the end of the program you are able to run for 30 minutes continuously and are fully prepared to run a 5k race.
While this program is free, contributions to the Village are greatly appreciated.To participate remotely, make sure your space is clear for exercise and that there are no objects in your way. A good rule of thumb is to clear a space that allows you to walk four steps back and forth and side to side. We recommend you consult with your doctor before participating in physical exertion and you should cease activity if you feel lightheaded, nauseous, short of breath, etc.
By participating in this class, everyone agrees that they are participating at their own risk and Village of Maple Bluff is held harmless in the event of an injury.
