This class will lead elementary students in how to build art-making confidence by developing foundational drawing and painting skills. Students are encouraged to find their creativity through the use of basic materials such as pencil, charcoal, ink, watercolor, acrylics, collage and more! Weekly lessons will cover elements of art and design such as color theory, principles of line use, value/shading, and composition through still life, landscape, and portraiture. Projects will allow students to build on and practice skills learned throughout the semester. All experience levels are welcome!
