Come out and help Santa Claus and his elves raise financial support for CASA of Southwest Oklahoma during the annual Jingle Jog 5k Run/1 Mile Walk event! CASA of Southwest Oklahoma is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization located in Lawton, OK. Their mission is to recruit, screen, train, and support community volunteers to advocate for neglected, abandoned, and abused children in the child welfare system. These elite volunteers, otherwise known as Court Appointed Special Advocates, dedicate 8-10 hours a month to be a strong voice for abused and neglected children in court. CASA of Southwest Oklahoma currently serves Comanche, Stephens, Jackson, Greer, Jefferson, Tillman, and Cotton counties. All proceeds go to CASA of Southwest Oklahoma.
Event details and schedule
The Jingle Jog 5K Run/1K Walk course, located at the Elmer Thomas Park in Lawton, OK, features a closed loop course with 3 laps over slightly rolling terrain. On the day of the race, packet pickup and late registration will begin at 1:30pm and ends promptly at 2:30pm. Ample parking is available on-site. Waivers must be signed before competing in the event. The weather in southwest Oklahoma is unpredictable, so be prepared for cold temperatures. Race begins at 3:00pm. Awards will be presented to the Top 3 finishers, male and female, in Adult Open Age categories; along with Overall Male and Female winners in both Military and Student categories. The race director reserves the right to cancel the race on race day due to inclement weather or unsafe conditions. Early registration ends on December 3, 2022. Registration fees increase to $30.00 on December 4, 2022. Registrations received after December 3rd, 2022 will not be able to receive or purchase a t-shirt.
