Beginner Levels. Students should have some prior experience with watercolor and/or painting mediums. Students use their eyes, brushes, palettes of watercolors, and paper to learn how to create paintings. The class covers clarity in design, texture, color, light, and depth of value. Supply List: Paints: 12-color tube set (Reeves, Studio 71, or similar); Brushes: a 3/4"-1" flat; #4 round, #8 round; Rigger #3 or liner (all with clear handles if possible); Paper: Strathmore Watercolor tablet, 12 sheets, size 9"x12", 140#, Pencils: simple #2; Water container; Soft kneaded grey eraser; Palette: covered, (mijello with a seal or the palette with a well on top for supplies); Spray bottle; Masking tape; Paper towels; Masking fluid; Support for the paper to be taped down preventing buckling while wet. The supply list will also be distributed at the first class. Online via Zoom & Google Classroom. An Associate Director will contact the student by the email listed on the student's account with log in information no sooner than one week and no later than 3 hours before the first session.
